Veteran comedians and fellow Baby Boomers, Jan McInnis and Kent Rader have joined together to create The Baby Boomer Comedy Show: Clean Comedy for People Born Before Seat Belts, Safety Helmets, and Face Book.
On Saturday, Feb. 20, their 90-minute theater event comes to the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts (205 Main St., Menomonie) at 7:30 p.m. Filled with clean humor, the comic duo tackles topics the boomer generation can relate to — family, kids, work, do-it-yourself projects, dieting, aging, grandchildren.
Jan was featured in the Wall Street Journal as one of the top convention comedians whose act is clean, and in the Washington Post in a challenge from Gene Weingarten to write clean punch lines to his suggestive set-ups.
A former hospital CFO with a sense of humor, Kent won the Branson Comedy Festival and has been performing his clean comedy act to packed convention and theater crowds across the country.
Tickets are $20/adults, $18/students and seniors. Call 715-235-0001, ext. 100; online at www.mabeltainter.org; or visit the box office Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. or one hour before the show.
