June 21 is an annual worldwide celebration of music of all kinds that began in France in 1982. Make Music Day has chapters in more than 25 states in the U.S. as well as Nigeria and the United Kingdom and was originally conceived as a day for everyone to make music together.
In compliance with the global mandate for social distancing, this year's Make Music Day will feature window serenades, crafting music instruments from found objects, a day-long livestream of performances from around the world and parades featuring the world's smallest marching bands.
