A motorcycle driver was airlifted with serious injures from an accident in the town of Howard on Thursday after it hit the rear of a pickup truck on Highway 40.
According to Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes, the accident happened at 7:25 a.m.
“The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck in the town of Howard” on Wisconsin Highway 40, west of County Highway DD, a release from the sheriff’s office says.
On Highway 40, “the motorcycle collided into the rear of the pick-up as they were traveling in the northbound lane,” the release says.
The operator of the motorcycle was airlifted by medical helicopter “due to medical needs determined by Chippewa Fire District personnel on scene,” the release says.
There were no other reported injuries.
