An Eau Claire man has been charged with three felony counts of burglary after stealing three welders, a handgun, pressure washer, bicycle, stud gun, several trail cameras and other items from residences in Lafayette and Cadott.
Bradley J. Barnum, 37, is currently incarcerated in the Eau Claire County Jail, court records show; he will appear in Chippewa County Court on March 6 at 1:30 p.m.
According to a criminal complaint, law enforcement arrested Randy Coey, an acquaintance of Barnum, on an active felony warrant. Coey told investigators that Barnum had stolen several of the reportedly stolen items and that Barnum had “bragged” about carrying out burglaries in Lafayette and Cadott.
Barnum rode the bike he had stolen earlier while carrying out other burglaries, Coey said, and stole a trail camera from a Cadott residence after the camera captured photos of Barnum riding the bike.
Barnum is currently facing several charges in Eau Claire County Court, including uttering forgeries, felony bail jumping and over 15 felony charges of burglary.
