Clark County logging employee dead

A logging employee died at a logging site Dec. 1 in Clark County, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

The office received an emergency call of a possible death in the Rock Dam area in the town of Foster at 4:43 p.m. on Dec. 1.

"Investigation indicates that a logging employee had died near some logging equipment," Sheriff Gregory Herrick said in a press release. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County Sheriff's Office, coroner's office and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) are continuing the investigation.

The victim's name is being withheld at this time.

The Greenwood Area Fire and Ambulance Service, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Air Ambulance and Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer responded to the scene.
