STANLEY — Grace Viola Seichter, 73 of Boyd, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1938, in Clifford, Wis. the daughter of the late George and Elena (Koski) Jones. Her family moved to the Tomahawk area in 1941 and Grace attended area schools. Grace worked for the A&W Root beer stand in Tomahawk and later Weinbrenner Shoe until transferring to Mason Shoe in 1970, and it was at that time Grace moved to Boyd.
She was united in marriage to Herbert Seichter on April 10, 1976, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd. The couple farmed until 1993, when Grace went to work for Cray Research, retiring in 2006.
Grace enjoyed bowling for many years, playing cards and bingo on the many bus trips taken. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Society of Boyd and American Legion Walter Nelson Post 326 Auxiliary.

She is survived by: two daughters, Kristine (David) Conway of Portage, and Dawn Hill of Taylor; one son, Daniel (Jennifer) Seichter of Stanley; her grandchildren, Kaden, Jonathon, Brenda, Melissa, Lyle, Darla and James; two great grandchildren, Lola and Aracela; five brothers, Stanley Jones of Green Bay, Kenneth (Hope) Jones of Merrill, Richard Jones of Tomahawk, William (Irma) Jones of Aberdeen, Md. and Terry (Judy) Jones of Irma; and one sister, Sally (Fred) Hatina of Tomahawk. She is preceded in death by: her parents and husband Herbert in 2010.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, with Father William Felix officiating. Internment will take place in the Parish Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
