It's snowing in northern Wisconsin and the Cumberland School District has declared Thursday a snow day with schools closed. That's a fairly routine occurrence in Wisconsin in the winter.

What isn't routine is the way the district announced the snow day.

With the snow taking a toll over the place it’s no surprise that schools are given holidays. It’s a common practice. I don’t understand the reason why there is so much hype for such announcement. It’s not a big surprise to have such announcement during this time. view website
