On December 3, 2018, Wisconsin GOP members held a news conference before the Joint Committee on Finance public hearing. Sen. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) discussed how the Senate will address pre-existing conditions in their upcoming floor session. "I think after the election cycle, and the amount of passion that was in and around that issue, most of my members brought it up right away that if we're going to do something in extraordinary session, they wanted pre-existing conditions to be part of that...I would anticipate that it would be a significant vote for pre-existing conditions when it's on the floor tomorrow," Sen. Fitzgerald said.
