After Green Bay infamously passed on him to draft a basketball player in the 10th round of the 1983 draft, the high-effort nose tackle made 1,008 tackles in a 12-year career in Cincinnati. Made two Pro Bowls and was named first-team all-NFL once and second-team once. Played in one Super Bowl.

Krumrie, who played four years at nose tackle for the Badgers in the early 1980s, still holds the record for most solo tackles in a career. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII.
