Cora Bruxvoort

School: Bloomer

Year: Junior

Sectional Time and Place: 15:50.72, 1st place overall

Notes: Bruxvoort has dominated the area cross country scene this season, winning all 11 races she’s run in, including a victory at Division 2 sectionals by over 20 seconds...was a member of Bloomer’s 2011 girls cross country state team, finishing 123rd as a freshman...was sixth at sectionals in 3,200-meter run in track and field this past spring.

Clint Heinze

School: Bloomer

Year: Senior

Sectional Time and Place: 18:49.68, 6th place overall and fifth-best among non-team qualifiers

Notes: Heinze makes his second trip to the Division 2 state boys meet, also went last year and finished 94th...victories this season at Bloomer, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and Ladysmith...took second place at Heart O’North Conference meet.

Kayla Vavra

School: Lake Holcombe/Cornell

Year: Sophomore

Sectional Time and Place: 16:44.4, 11th place overall and fifth-best among non-team qualifiers

Notes: Vavra makes her first trip to the Division 3 girls state meet after just missing qualifying last year... took fourth at Cameron and Owen-Withee invites and sixth at Bloomer invite...second consecutive year a LH/C runner has advanced to state (Lexi Moussette made it last year).
