2021: Stanley-Boyd's Brady Potaczek

Stanley-Boyd senior Brady Potaczek excelled on both sides of the ball this fall with the Orioles in earning all-state accolades on offense and defense. Potaczek is the 2021 Chippewa County Player of the Year.
2020: Lake Holcombe/Cornell's Tate Sauerwein

Lake Holcombe/Cornell senior Tate Sauerwein put together a stellar senior season for the Knights in earning Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-region honors at running back while being named the Lakeland Conference Offensive Player of the Year and Lakeland Conference Co-Player of the Year. Sauerwein is the 2020 Chippewa County Player of the Year for a second year in a row.
2019: Lake Holcombe/Cornell's Tate Sauerwein

Lake Holcombe/Cornell's Tate Sauerwein had a breakout junior campaign for the Knights, rushing for more than 1,000 yards while earning a variety of accolades including 2019 Chippewa County Player of the Year.
2018: Chi-Hi's Rico DeLeon

Chi-Hi senior defensive lineman Rico DeLeon was an unstoppable force this fall for the Cardinals, earning first team all-state honors on his way to being named the Chippewa County Player of the Year. DeLeon had 102 tackles, including 32 for loss, and 4.5 sacks for the Cardinals.
2017: Stanley-Boyd's Ben Turner

Stanley-Boyd's Ben Turner was dominant on his way to the 2017 award. The Oriole linebacker tallied 160 total tackles including 24 tackles for loss while leading the team to a Cloverbelt Conference title as he earned first team all-state accolades.
2016: Stanley-Boyd's Seth Hause

Stanley-Boyd senior quarterback Seth Hause was the 2016 Chippewa County football Player of the Year after completing 181 of 303 passes for 2,510 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and nine INTs while guiding Stanley-Boyd to Level 4 of the Division 5 playoffs.
2015: Stanley-Boyd's Zach Turner

Stanley-Boyd’s Zach Turner is no stranger to the weight room. Or the film room. Or the practice field. The Oriole standout can be seen anywhere having to do with Stanley-Boyd football and the all-state linebacker and utility player is the 2015 Chippewa County Player of the Year.
2014: Stanley-Boyd's Ronny Ponick, Zach Turner and Clint Warminski

Stanley-Boyd's (from left) Ronny Ponick, Zach Turner and Clint Warminski are used to playing in the spotlight. But that gaze hasn't stopped them from excelling on both sides of the ball and being recognized for their strong play. The Orioles trio are the 2014 Co-Chippewa County Players of the Year.
2013: Bloomer's Colton Seibel

Bloomer running back Colton Seibel ran for over 2,000 yards and 38 touchdowns en route to the 2013 Player of the Year award.
2012: New Auburn's Brett Baker

New Auburn quarterback Brett Baker racked up over 2,300 yards of total offense and accounted for 53 total touchdowns to earn the football 2012 Chippewa County Player of the Year award.
2011: Bloomer's Levi Nayes

Bloomer's Levi Nayes ran for over 2,000 yards and scored 40 touchdowns on his way to being named the 2011 Chippewa County Player of the Year.
2010: Chi-Hi's Brad Huempfner

Chi-Hi's Brad Huempfner ran for 1,196 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping the Cardinals reach the playoffs. Huempfner was the 2010 Player of the Year.
2009: Cornell's Cody Olson

Cornell running back Cody Olson ran for 1,954 yards, good for ninth best in the state of Wisconsin, and guided the Chiefs to the playoffs in winning the 2009 award.
2008: Chi-Hi's Mitch Olson

Chi-Hi's Mitch Olson had more than a solid arm as the Cardinals' quarterback. Olson was a dual run-pass threat at the position and also started on defense as a defensive back in winning the 2008 award.
2007: Chi-Hi's T.Joe Loiselle

Chi-Hi's T.Joe Loiselle ran for a Big Rivers Conference high 16 touchdowns en route to the 2007 Player of the Year award.
2006: Stanley-Boyd's Kyle Thorpe

Stanley-Boyd’s Kyle Thorpe threw for over 1,600 yards and excelled as a defensive back for the Orioles, winning the 2006 Player of the Year award.
